With experience spanning nearly two decades, Ali is a trusted business partner to many high-growth CEOs and founders advising on areas of budgeting, financial modeling, accounting best practices, cash flow management, complex revenue recognition, financial statement audits, and debt and equity fundraising. From his experience as a founder, Ali is a very hands-on and responsive operator.

About Christine Costa
Christine serves as a CFO for our clients. She is a licensed CPA with over 20 years of experience as a CFO for high-growth venture-backed technology companies with an emphasis on SaaS and Climate Tech. As a finance partner with strong business acumen, she is focused on driving growth with sound fundamentals, business metrics, and performance management for effective decision making and building size and stage-appropriate operations. Her experience includes over $800M in equity/debt financing raised and M&A transactions.
In her free time, you can find Christine exploring the local hiking and running trails and cooking (mostly vegan) yummy meals with her family.

Dave Thomson
About Dave Thomson
Dave leads Attivo’s Web3 practice working with more than 40 companies where he provides specialized technical and operational guidance. He also serves as a CFO for some of our clients. He has over 10 years of experience as a CFO. As an operational CFO Dave has exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills applied to SaaS and financial products such as cryptocurrencies. Dave spent his early career on Wall Street with Merrill Lynch responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, controls, and profitability analysis for financial products with over $3 billion in revenue, as well as over $100M in annual technology spend for several business units. In addition to his work with Attivo, Dave runs a family office specializing in high-frequency cryptocurrency trading, market making, and yield farming for the past six years.

Greg is a Partner and Co-Founder of Attivo. He serves as a CFO for our clients. He is actively engaged in helping companies raise venture funding from Series Seed to Series C. Over the course of $500+ million in transactions, Greg has advised high-growth companies from formation through funding and liquidity events. Greg brings a pragmatic, hands-on approach to representing high-growth companies.

As the Director of Client Experience, she leads initiatives to build great customer relationships from inception of onboarding through 90-day review. She also has the distinction of being Attivo employee #1.

Ravi serves as a CFO for our clients. Through his experience as an entrepreneur, CFO, and COO, he has developed a diversified skill set spanning finance, operations, business development, and international business. He is equally effective in addressing issues affecting start-ups, growth stage companies, and turnaround situations. When working with a new client, his goal is to make an impact through improvements to cash flow, expenses, as well as reporting and controls while collaborating with the management team on business growth, productivity, and strategy.

Rebecca is Partner and Co-Founder of Attivo. She serves as a Controller for our clients. She has worked with over 100 companies establishing their accounting systems from the bottom up. Given her considerable experience, Rebecca knows what it takes to build a solid accounting team, process, and foundation.
When she’s not crunching away, you can find Rebecca chasing around her two toddlers while trying to catch up on Netflix shows.

Scot serves as a CFO for our clients. He has over 20 years of experience as a finance professional and has managed and grown finance operations to support annual revenues of over $100 M. In addition, he has supported over $700 M in VC fundraising. Scot has extensive experience in M&A and post-merger integration. Prior to joining Attivo, he was the Head of Finance at Lime.
In his free time, when not traveling the globe, you can find Scot enjoying Ocean Beach and Golden Gate Park in his backyard and strumming a tune on the ukulele.

Shaun O'Connor

About Shaun O’Connor
Shaun serves as a CFO for our clients. He provides exceptional leadership while collaborating with C-Level executives to create efficiency and effectively refine forecasts. He works to identify opportunities for process improvements as well as managing the processes and controls for GAAP financial reporting, international consolidations, revenue recognition, and other accounting and finance functions.

Stephen serves as a CFO for our clients. He has over 30 years of experience with technology companies, from the start-up phase through IPO and beyond. He has raised over $250 million for his clients in equity & debt. Operationally, Stephen has taken two companies from startup through an IPO on Nasdaq; one as a CFO, one as a controller, giving him first-hand experience of scaling a finance function.

Steve serves as CFO for our clients. He has over 30 years of experience across Big 4 Accounting, boot strapped companies, VC-backed companies, and a $900M publicly traded company, providing financial leadership in technology, software and direct to consumer products industries. He has raised over $60 million in equity and debt for his companies and completed a successful sell-side M&A transaction. Operationally, he has developed and implemented many technology and process improvements to drive efficiencies and value to his companies.
In his spare time, you will find Steve flying his DJI drone around the South East landscape and beaches, along with trying to beat his son in golf.

Akta serves as an accounting manager for our clients. She started her career in Big 4 accounting with Deloitte and her public accounting experience includes audit, tax planning as well as strategies for compliance. In this role, she gained technical experience and an understanding of the implications audit, tax, and compliance have on the business. While working for a manufacturer, Akta was the sole accounting resource and managed all aspects of the accounting and finance function. This in-house operational experience gave her an understanding of the operational challenges entrepreneurs face. Akta enjoys working with clients to help them improve their accounting processes as well identify key elements that help them with better decision making.
Akta’s hobbies include hiking, travelling, swimming and organizing her home.

Brandon serves as an Accounting Manager for our clients. He has over eight years of accounting experience ranging from start-ups to multinational public corporations. After starting his career with PwC in the banking and capital markets group, he joined a start-up performing accounting and finance services for twenty other start-ups. His most recent employer was Spark Networks, a public SAAS corporation based in Berlin.

He considers his expertise to be updating client tech stacks to the latest platforms, cleaning up historical financials, and providing a blueprint for monthly financials. Cal focuses on setting a foundation for clients’ accounting and financial processes that will scale with their growth.

Camille has over 6 years of experience in accounting working with clients in the SaaS, Biotech, eCommerce, and Consumer Goods sectors. Her expertise includes financial reporting and account reconciliations. For most of her career Camille has been an outsourced accounting consultant and has developed the skill of attending to each company’s specific requirements. She is particularly proud of her efforts to make her client’s lives easier by cleaning up their financial records and establishing new processes. While working with consumer goods companies, Camille learned that each internal department needs different types of data to make sound decisions, expanding her ability to provide service across departmental functions. When working with new clients, Camille’s priority is to first understand her client’s accounting needs and familiarize herself with processes they have in place. From there, she looks for ways to implement value-added processes that can grow with their business.

Emely serves as an Accounting Manager for our clients. She has 8 years of experience in accounting and has worked with companies in the eCommerce, SaaS, and AdTech sectors. She started her career in audit at PwC which set her standard for what it means to deliver great work in client services. While at Foursquare, the company grew from 200 employees to 400 employees giving her first-hand experience in a rapidly scaling environment. She is familiar with mergers and acquisitions and the after-effects of combining two sets of books. Emely enjoys building processes to improve efficiency having streamlined a monthly close process from 20 days to 5 and working with engineering teams and project managers to establish a process for capitalizing software. She has implemented a wide variety of systems for expense management, sales tax, and AP/PO along with drafting the policies for the management of those systems.

Ephy draws on her experience with small businesses, nontraditional industries, and teaching to bring a robust and accessible approach to explaining finances. When working with a new client, she digs deep to understand the client’s top-level goals so that she can organize her subtasks well.

By taking a high-level view of overall company operations and consolidating processes he was able to shorten the monthly close cycle from 30 days to 2 days. Having worked in startups he has built accounting teams and has managed the accounting for a wide range of operational needs including HR, compliance, and sales tax, as well as being the internal point person for a company undergoing a Big 4 audit. John Truong
About John Truong
John serves as a Senior Accounting Manager for our clients. He has 10 years of experience in accounting and has worked with companies in the consumer internet, SaaS, manufacturing, and wealth management sectors. He started his career as an investment analyst for a wealth management firm, so he understands firsthand the importance of clean financial statements for building trust with investors. Having worked in startups, he has experience building all aspects of accounting operations from the beginning with an eye toward setting up systems and processes that can scale. John’s expertise goes beyond accounting and includes building financial models, cash forecasts, investor relations, and fundraising. In his prior role, he scaled the company from 4 people to 60 people by providing accounting and financial oversight, and serving as an interim chief compliance officer. He simultaneously managed human resources, recruiting, and building out financial models to support the Series A and B rounds.

From her six years in public accounting, Kari adopted and maintains a high-quality standard in client service to create value for her clients. Before joining Attivo, Kari spent over two years at a purpose-driven manufacturing startup focused on addressing affordable housing, building accounting policies and procedures from the ground up, and navigating operational and finance issues that arose in the company’s early years. Kari’s experience and resourcefulness will allow her to be a valuable partner to her clients as they grow and strive to make an impact.

Megan is familiar with rapidly growing startups having been a part of a company that grew from 60 employees to over 200 in two years. She led the effort to build and maintain budgets across teams and provided variance analysis to department heads comparing budgets vs actuals. Megan also gained exposure to global operations, with 7 international subsidiaries, and assisted in establishing the second headquarters in Malaysia. Her experience in manufacturing taught her the importance of inventory controls and the impact of working capital on cash. She is also skilled in building reporting packages for lenders as well as being the point person for auditors.

In his last role, Nathan was the only accountant at his company and was responsible for all aspects of accounting including modeling and presenting to the C-suite. He prides himself on accuracy and consistency, and especially enjoys revenue recognition and working with datasets in Excel.

Grant services as Technical Recruiter at Attivo Partners. He has been involved in technical recruiting for the last two years and his efforts to source new team members have been an integral part of Attivo’s growth. He is a full cycle recruiter, working with candidates from start to finish. He is focused on recruiting Attivo’s accounting team from staff accountants to controllers.
