Why did you join Attivo?
I joined Attivo because they provided an opportunity for me to grow my career. I was in corporate America for 14 years and I ended up plateauing. Attivo offered me an opportunity to expand on that knowledge as well as to learn new aspects of accounting.
What is a typical day at Attivo?
There’s no typical day at Attivo, because every day brings on new challenges. I might have month-end close but at the same time, I have a client who needs a model done for the next three years because an investor is looking for something and they’re going through, possibly going through, financing rounds. Every time I open up an email, it’s a new challenge that I can face, and I can use any foundational knowledge that I might have to apply to help my clients achieve their goals.
What makes Attivo unique?
Attivo is unique in a way that the coworkers that I have are very responsive to questions or issues that a team member might come across. The people that I work with are very invested in not only their own projects, but as well as making sure that you succeed as well.
What are the first 3 months like?
You get assigned a mentor, you know, someone to help you process, to help you set your goals to where you want to go in your career path at Attivo. You get assigned a buddy when you first start, who will help you kind of navigate through where to find resources, who to reach out to, where you can go to get training materials. All the training that you receive in the first three months, it might seem like a lot, but after that three months, you’ll feel like, “Hey, I’m an expert at this software” because of all the resources that are available to you.
Tell us about the mentor program?
With the mentor mentee program here at Attivo, I feel like the mentors are personally and professionally invested in your growth at Attivo. Another unique thing about Attivo is they are very transparent on what markers you need to meet in order to move up to that next level, and it’s available for anybody here at Attivo. If you need to be an expert at revenue waterfall, the mentors will kind of reach out to the other CFOs to make sure, “Hey, do you need help with revenue? Because you know, my mentee needs this experience”. Attivo actively searches for opportunities for you so that you can meet that goal and so that you can level up.
How have you grown?
I’m more confident in how I can look at financials and then present those to somebody in the C-suite, to know the insights and outsights of a business, working with all of our clients and being able to talk to all the founders and CEOs about their financials and knowing their businesses inside and out has given me a voice.
